THAMES TIDEWAY BOLLARD BEAM

This reinforced concrete beam was 1 metre high by 1 metre in depth and 165m long. The sole purpose of this beam was to strengthen the top of the sheet piles along the river Thames . There was also anchorage posts set into the top of the beam for barges to connect to.

This was an extremely difficult project which took a lot of careful planning due to high tides dictating when concrete could be poured. This was a Volker Stevin job and although this was not supposed to be as high quality as facework the comments made by management suggested it was just as good, if not, better.

This level of quality is something that JMF strive to achieve.
