ROYSTON PRECAST SUBWAY

This was JMF’s very first project.

It was a reinforced concrete subway with internal face walls and ceiling.  The structure was 26 meters long built on two reinforced concrete strip beams. The reinforcement  was designed in such a way that meant the face walls and ceiling had to poured in one.

This was a difficult task due to the size of the structure and the 4 four and a half week timescale that JMF was set by Birse rail due to penalty clauses.

The pre cast subway was successfully set in place over the Christmas period of 2011

We then returned to construct the reinforced insitu wing walls.
